Cookie Notice

This notice explains what cookies oilgasalert.com sets in your browser and why. We aim to keep this simple: we use only what is strictly necessary to make the service work.

1. What We Use

• Session cookie — an essential cookie that keeps you logged in after you sign in. Without it, every page reload would log you out. Lifetime: until you sign out, or after a few days of inactivity.

That’s it. We do not use:

• tracking cookies;
• third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Mixpanel);
• advertising cookies or pixels;
• fingerprinting techniques.

2. Third-Party Cookies (Limited Cases)

When you click Upgrade to Pro and proceed to checkout, you are redirected to Polar — our payment processor. During checkout, Polar may set its own cookies as part of the payment flow, subject to Polar’s Privacy Policy. These cookies live on polar.sh, not on oilgasalert.com.

Our site is served through Cloudflare, which may set technical cookies for security and performance (e.g., bot mitigation). See Cloudflare’s cookie policy.

3. Managing Cookies

You can clear cookies at any time via your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy & security → Clear browsing data;
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.

Clearing the session cookie will sign you out. The service will not work if you fully block cookies, because we need to know you’re signed in.

4. Do Not Track

We don’t track you across sites, so there is nothing to opt out of. We respect the spirit of the “Do Not Track” signal by default.
