At Subsea7, we deliver complex offshore projects in some of the world's most dynamic and demanding environments. Our Survey Support team in Aberdeen plays a critical role in making that happen, supporting projects from concept through to execution.
What will you be doing?
As a Survey Support Engineer, you'll join a highly skilled team of equipment and software specialists, providing technical support for survey systems deployed on vessels and ROVs around the world. Working closely with Project Surveyors, offshore personnel, and external suppliers, you'll be at the heart of ensuring successful survey operations across our global fleet.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, project coordination, and problem-solving while contributing to challenging international projects.
No two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the selection, integration, setup, and operation of survey equipment
Reviewing project mobilisation requirements and coordinating equipment requests
Preparing survey mobilisation schedules and cost estimates
Briefing offshore survey engineering personnel before project deployment
Providing technical support throughout mobilisation and offshore operations
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure equipment is delivered, returned, and off-hired efficiently
Managing equipment fault reports and coordinating replacements
Maintaining vessel survey equipment inventories and consumable requirements
Ensuring survey system documentation and configurations remain accurate and up to date
Developing technical notes, procedures, and mobilisation plans
Championing Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the team
What experience would we like you to have?
We're keen to hear from survey equipment professionals who thrive on challenge and enjoy working in a collaborative, solutions-focused environment. Also:
A Degree or HND in Surveying, Electronics, or a related discipline
Knowledge of subsea offshore construction, ROV systems, and survey equipment
Offshore experience within Survey and/or ROV operations (advantageous)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and deliver solutions
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
The flexibility to support projects globally, including occasional travel and working across different time zones
