ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide oilfield chemistry technical support and expertise to its oil and gas production, refining and chemicals operations and projects. The candidate would be part of ExxonMobil's Materials Engineering team in ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company, working out of ExxonMobil's Bengaluru Campus (Prestige Shantiniketan) in India. The candidate would be responsible for working with multi-discipline teams to execute/establish/improve oilfield chemistry related work processes/solutions/ recommendations specifically in the MIC (Microbially Influenced Corrosion) space. You will be leading the development, execution and optimization of global Oilfield Chemical (OFC) programs inclusive of asset integrity, flow assurance and production/process optimization. Primary responsibilities include identification and management of downside risks and upside opportunities related to biological growth, inorganic scale, wax, asphaltenes, corrosion, calcium naphthenates, emulsions, oxygen and H2S scavengers, hydrates in the production operation and water treatment. What you will do: Knowledgeable in microbial processes to support ExxonMobil’s asset integrity program by leading advanced detection, monitoring, and mitigation efforts in microbial induced corrosion of steel infrastructure. The ideal candidate will apply deep expertise in microbiology and corrosion science to assess risks, develop prevention strategies, and collaborate across engineering and operations teams to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance of upstream assets. Develop technical scope of work and define associated chemical requirements for evaluation and selection of new/replacement oilfield chemicals including safety, environmental impact and performance effects. Develop and optimize chemical treatment programs and methods to meet asset integrity and production goals. Participate in designing the matrix and protocol for Oil field chemical lab qualification. Interpret data and participate in technology transfers. Develop and optimize chemical monitoring programs to monitor/surveillance both chemical delivery and chemical performance for integrity, flow assurance and process for oil and gas production, water injection, utilities and produced water re-injection and disposal. Serve as Oilfield Chemicals Subject Matter Expert (SME) and engage with chemical supplier personnel to review proposals and provide revised/new recommendations as needed. Lead and coordinate interfaces between asset engineering and operations teams, chemical suppliers, procurement and project teams to converge on optimized chemical program solutions, troubleshoot and support management of change as needed. Lead the design, execution, and analysis of field validation trials and pilot programs for new or optimized chemical treatments, ensuring alignment with operational KPIs and regulatory standards. Develop and optimize tools, templates, procedures, etc. underpinning the work area. Support implementation of digitalization and implement methods to better visualize program effectiveness and cost management. Leverage global SME network, steward lessons learned and knowledge management platforms. Transfer lessons learned and best practices across sites. Lead/Participate in TSA (Total System Analysis) and CMT (Chemical Management Team) activities. Influencing multi-discipline teams to enhance asset performance. Support planning and budgeting for OFC Program for enhancements in purchasing, logistics, treatment rates, and supply management. Support Contract Administration, reporting and stewardship activities (i.e., coordinate with contract owner/administrator to steward quarterly meetings, track contract administration KPIs, evaluate chemical contractor performance, provide feedback to contract owner and contractor for improvement, work with contractor to resolve any gaps, etc.,) Provide technica
