The
District Representative
role is responsible for supporting sales and account management activities within an assigned territory based in Western Colorado. This role will work as part of a broader team out of
Grand Junction, CO or Rifle, CO
, and will report to an Account Manager. In this position, you will collaborate closely with customers to understand operational needs, recommend continuous improvements, and help maintain and grow existing business. This role will spend over half the time in the Field. You will provide technical support by troubleshooting issues, analyzing system performance data, and delivering written recommendations to optimize customer operations. The role includes building and maintaining strong relationships with key customer stakeholders while supporting sales efforts and identifying new business opportunities. You will also assist with sample collection and basic laboratory analysis while working alongside a Sales Representative, Sales Technician, and Operational Specialist. This position requires regular travel within the assigned territory, occasional overnight travel, the ability to work independently, and strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to travel within assigned territory, including up to 25% overnight travel
Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 55 pounds\
Must meet safety-sensitive requirements, including potential drug testing
Required Skills & Experience (Must – Haves)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and internal team members
Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and provide practical recommendations
4+ years of experience in technical sales, field sales support, or a related role in Western Colorado
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies
Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice to Have)
Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related)
Experience in the oil and gas industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal systems
Prior experience working in a field-based or autonomous role
Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and support sales growth
Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and adaptability
Job Duties:
Support sales and account management activities within the assigned Baker, MT territory while working with the Dickinson, ND team and reporting to an Account Manager
Complete Field tasks, such as checking and maintaining equipment.
Collaborate with customers to understand operational needs and recommend improvements to support business growth
Provide technical support by troubleshooting issues and resolving customer concerns
Analyze system performance data and deliver written recommendations to optimize operations
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
Support sales efforts by identifying growth opportunities and contributing to achieving sales targets
Promote products, solutions, and technologies to strengthen long-term customer partnerships
Assist with sample collection and conduct basic laboratory analysis
Collaborate with the local Baker team, including the Sales Representative, Sales Technician, and Operational Specialist
Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies while working in the field
Salary: $82,000 - $92,000
