Job Title: Lead Instrument and Controls Engineer KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi. Job Purpose The Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer is responsible for leading all Instrumentation, Control Systems, Functional Safety, and Automation engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore projects. The role ensures the delivery of safe, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant engineering solutions throughout FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up phases. The position provides technical leadership for offshore process control systems, safety instrumented systems (SIS), distributed control systems (DCS), emergency shutdown systems (ESD), fire and gas systems (F&G), telecommunications interfaces, and field instrumentation for offshore oil and gas facilities. Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Lead and coordinate Instrumentation & Control engineering activities across the project lifecycle. Manage a team of I&C engineers, designers, and specialists. Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and ADNOC Offshore requirements. Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to engineering personnel. Review and approve all I&C engineering deliverables. Instrumentation Engineering Develop and review: Instrument Index I/O Lists Instrument Datasheets Instrument Specifications Hook-up Drawings Instrument Layout Drawings Cable Schedules Loop Diagrams Cause & Effect Matrices Instrument Location Plans Ensure proper selection and specification of field instruments for offshore service conditions. Resolve technical queries from suppliers. Monitor vendor performance and compliance with project requirements.
