Primary Role
The Production Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of Production Scheduling, providing oversight of raw material (Chem/Cats/Packaging) requirements and supports site supply chain related activities.
Position Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Lead run plan alignment discussions involving Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Business
Develop and communicate monthly run plan and Month+3 plans to Supply Chain and Manufacturing
Monitor and steward production performance vs. plan, Break-ins, and highlight any significant deviations
Execute Business Team endorsed production planning improvement initiatives
Interface with other EM organizations to coordinate feedstock availability & Raw-material availability
Ensure raw materials (chemicals, catalysts, and additives) support all production run plan
Drive Security of Supply for raw materials with SC, Mfg and Business
Ensure Master-Data accuracy in APO / ECC for Raw materials planning
Areas of Responsibilities
Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, and Business Team meetings (as needed)
Discuss with S&OP to translate sales demand forecasts and stock transfer requests into optimized production unit run plans
Ensure production run plans incorporate maintenance plans, transition timing, and production wheels
Coordinate with Site Optimization and Coordination team on monomers requirements and balance across plants
Develop and maintain production run plans in SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) tool, reflecting adjustments to plan as they occur
Lead run plan alignment discussions and monthly site run plan meetings
Understand and communicate Manufacturing production capability and constraints
Communicate unplanned production events, align options with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Business
Escalate production signal alignment issues and major risks to site technical management
Interface with Mfg - Polymers Logistics Group (PLG) and onsite 3rd Party Logistics Provider on production write-on issues [Flow-chart on who to approach (1st/2nd tier) for various GEMs queries]
Interface within Supply Chain and PLG on bulk operation activities (as needed)
Confirm raw material requirements (including Shared raw materials) and place the requisite purchase requisitions / orders
Coordinate with Polymers Process Assistant & relevant suppliers on their deliveries
Refreshing the Supplier-Allocation model periodically and execute the Allocations accordingly
Perform random crosscheck on raw material physical quantities vs. SAP quantities on monthly basis
Interface with Industrial Hygiene / Environmental / PSRA / Trade-Regulations / Business when bringing new raw materials on site
Maintain Bill of Materials master data in GEMS system to accurately reflect unit capability
Maintain Safety-stock values proposed by ERMO in APO and revise their limits periodically
Lead/ Support Improvement initiatives
Maintaining and updating the Supplier Feedback Database (SFB) as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
