Job Title: Lead Planning and Cost Engineer KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi. Job Purpose The Lead Planning & Cost Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting project schedules and costs throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures effective planning, progress measurement, cost control, forecasting, and reporting for ADNOC Offshore projects while maintaining compliance with ADNOC standards, contractual requirements, and project objectives. Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling Develop and maintain integrated Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6. Prepare detailed EPC project schedules covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Offshore Hook-up, Commissioning, and Start-up activities. Establish project baselines and monitor schedule performance. Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and identify schedule risks. Conduct schedule reviews and recovery planning to mitigate project delays. Monitor progress against approved baselines and prepare schedule updates. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams to ensure schedule alignment. Cost Control Develop project cost control systems and procedures. Prepare cost budgets and cost breakdown structures (CBS). Monitor project expenditures and committed costs. Perform cost variance analysis and identify deviations. Prepare cost forecasts, Estimate at Completion (EAC), and Estimate to Complete (ETC). Validate contractor and subcontractor invoices against progress achieved. Monitor change orders, variations, and claims impact on project costs. Progress Measurement & Reporting Develop project progress measurement systems and KPIs. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients. Generate S-Curves, manpower histograms, productivity analysis, and earned value reports. Monitor engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, and commissioning progress. Participate in project review meetings and management presentations. Risk & Change Management Conduct schedule risk assessments and what-if analyses. Evaluate schedule and cost impacts of project changes. Support development of mitigation and recovery plans. Assist in claims preparation and extension of time (EOT) analysis. Stakeholder Coordination Interface with ADNOC Offshore representatives, consultants, EPC contractors, and subcontractors. Provide project controls guidance to project teams. Support audits and compliance reviews related to project controls. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Master's Degree is an advantage. Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP (AACE), CCP, or equivalent preferred. Experience Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Controls, Planning, and Cost Engineering. Minimum 5 years in a Lead Planning/Cost Engineer role on Offshore Oil & Gas projects. Experience working on ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, or major EPC projects is highly preferred. Proven experience in FEED, EPC, Brownfield, Greenfield, offshore platforms, subsea, pipelines, and associated facilities. Technical Skills Expert knowledge of Primavera P6. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and project reporting tools. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM). Cost control and forecasting expertise. Schedule risk analysis knowledge (Pertmaster / Primavera Risk Analysis preferred). Strong understanding of ADNOC project control procedures and reporting requirements.
