Due to continued growth in Western Australia, we are seeking an experienced Building Services Lead to join our Perth team to head up the WA Building Services team. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a highly regarded services engineer who is passionate about technical excellence, mentoring teams, and delivering complex multidisciplinary projects. The Opportunity As our Technical Professional Leader, you will provide both technical and people leadership to a team of engineers while contributing to the continued growth and success of KBR's Buildings and Infrastructure business. Working under the direction of the Discipline Manager, you will lead the delivery of major design packages, oversee project performance, and ensure the highest standards of engineering excellence across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will also collaborate closely with other Building Services discipline leaders and engineering teams across KBR nationally. This role combines project delivery, team leadership, technical governance and client engagement, making it suited to an experienced engineering professional looking to make a significant impact within a growing business. Key Responsibilities As a Technical Professional Leader, you will: Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers, designers and drafters. Provide technical leadership across complex building, transport, defence and infrastructure projects. Plan, coordinate and manage engineering work packages to achieve scope, budget and schedule requirements. Prepare, review and verify engineering designs, calculations, reports and technical specifications. Manage project and proposal budgets within your area of responsibility. Coordinate and manage key project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, suppliers and subconsultants. Support business development activities, proposals and client engagement initiatives. Promote continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and sharing best practice across projects and teams. Maintain compliance with KBR's Quality Management System and engineering governance processes. Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, collaboration, innovation and high performance. Who We're Looking For You will be a respected engineering leader with a strong background in consulting and project delivery, alongside a passion for developing people and building client relationships. Essential Experience & Skills Demonstrated success leading and managing teams of engineering professionals. Extensive experience delivering engineering solutions for your discipline within a consulting or project environment. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on major projects. Strong project management and project delivery experience. Experience preparing technical proposals and contributing to business development opportunities. Advanced capability in undertaking and reviewing engineering calculations, modelling and technical analyses. Experience reviewing engineering designs, drawings and documentation. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively engage with clients, authorities and project partners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to mentoring and development of junior and mid-career engineers. Marketing and business development experience will be highly regarded. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline). Chartered Engineer status (CPEng), RPEQ or equivalent, or the ability and willingness to obtain within six months. Extensive relevant consulting, design or technical engineering experience within the infrastructure, buildings or related sectors.
