As we continue to expand across Australia’s Defence domain, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Capture Manager to join our Growth team and lead the process of winning new business opportunities that shape Australia’s future capability. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Growth, you’ll take ownership of qualified opportunities, leading the capture and proposal phases of KBR’s Growth Lifecycle. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing winning strategies, building high-performing teams, and ensuring every pursuit reflects KBR’s commitment to excellence and innovation. This is a permanent full time position and can be based in either Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement win strategies, competitive intelligence portfolios, teaming strategies, customer assessments and all elements of captures to maximise probability-of-win. Leading cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, solution architects, engineers, commercial and finance staff, and business development personnel. Partnering with the Proposal Management team to oversee the development of compelling proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and managing the bid process. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. Ensuring adherence to relevant policies, managing risks, and ensuring the integrity of the capture process. About You: You’re a strategic, results-driven professional who thrives on competition and collaboration. You combine business acumen with strong Defence domain knowledge and enjoy leading teams to deliver complex pursuits. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven experience in capture management or bid management within the Australian Defence industry. Experience in complex captures across space or prime systems integration preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in developing and executing capture strategies. Proven understanding of Australian Defence/Government Agency acquisition processes combined with an appreciation of capability solution elements (e.g., scope, cost, and schedule). Ability to manage complex projects and budgets. Experience with proposal writing and development. Must be an Australian citizen and hold or have held a minimum NV1 Australian Government security clearance. Proven track record in building pipelines and achieving success. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
