Mechanical Pacakge Engineer Job Requirement Senior Mechanical Package Engineer with proven experience in design and specification of Rotating Equipment Packages, Specialty and Utility Equipment packages, Material handling equipment packages for Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, onshore brownfield work etc. Experience in FEED, detailed engineering and Concept of medium to large scale projects in Middle east required. To be based in Abu Dhabi- UAE. Key Skills & Technical Competencies: Knowledge & understanding of Design, selection, Construction, installation Pre-commissioning and Mechanical Completion phases for Packages, large scale Turbo Machinery, Material handling equipment such as Crane etc. Wide knowledge of codes and industry standards. Keep abreast of Industry Codes & Standards (API 610, 682, 612, 611,616, 617, 618, 619, 673, 674, 675, 676) and Guidelines related to rotating equipment and packages. Familiar with the latest engineering and analytical techniques/software as applicable. Job Responsibility and Requirement Prepare datasheets, technical specification, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations for Engineering, Selection and Procurement assistance of Rotary Equipment & Packages like chemical injection packages, Fire water and jockey pump packages, produced water packages, gas sweetening packages etc. Compressors and GTG packages, Handling equipment (Cranes, Hoists)etc. Fair understanding and experience in carrying out Material handling study taking into consideration the maintenance requirements of individual equipment as well as the entire package. Coordinate with vendors to evaluate technical proposals, review design documents, and ensure compliance with project requirements and international codes (ASME, API, ISO). Follow up on technical scope of work with vendors & support process engineers in selecting type of equipment. Perform technical studies such as compressor configuration studies, driver selection and life cycle cost studies, material handling studies, , etc. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team, including the Clients, Responsible for design integrity of mechanical scope, on-schedule delivery of the work within budget. Technical bid evaluation, Vendor document review, and support pre-commissioning and commissioning of rotating equipment for brownfield and greenfield projects as necessary. Participate in HAZOP/HAZID, Model reviews, other studies for packages and closeout of any open actions.. Collaborate closely with process, electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams to ensure seamless package integration. Experience required: Minimum 12+ years of experience required Minimum 6-7+ Years of experience in Oil & gas industry Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
