Expression of Interest Underground Nippers NES Fircroft is seeking underground Nippers for an initial three-month engagement at a major underground mining operation. Temporary to Permanent opportunity Duties will include: Maintaining clean and safe drill headings and work area Transporting tools, materials and supplies underground Conducting pre-start inspections and basic equipment check Supporting production and development activities as required Following all site procedures and underground safety requirement Off siding Jumbo Operators and other drill-rig operators Assisting with the setup and relocation of underground drill rigs Handling drill steels, hoses, cables and drilling consumables Supplying ground-support materials and other equipment to drill crews Role requirements Previous underground hard-rock mining experience Previous Nipper or drill-crew offsiding experience will be highly regarded Current Australian driver’s licence Relevant underground competencies and tickets Strong work ethic and commitment to safety Ability to perform physically demanding work Ability to work effectively with underground drill crews Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and functional assessment Australian working rights What’s on offer $45–$50 per hour , depending on experience and competency Temporary to Permanent opportunity for successful candidates Fantastic opportunity with Tier 1 mining company Apply now with your current résumé and copies of any relevant underground competencies, qualifications and licences With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
