Job Overview As an R&M Technician - LWD I, you will support the repair, maintenance, assembly, testing, and calibration of Logging While Drilling (LWD) tools and equipment. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to build technical expertise in drilling technologies. The role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Perform Level I repairs, inspections, and function testing on LWD downhole tools and equipment, including drivers, pulsers, batteries, gamma tools, BAPs, IDSs, interconnects, flow diverters, MFRs, NDTs, and collars. Perform gamma verifications and calibrations, IDS check stand roll tests, neutron density calibrations, and MFR air hangs. Assemble and disassemble LWD tool strings and perform tool programming and function testing. Conduct pulser wet tests, main valve replacements, and tip/orifice replacements. Assemble and disassemble lithium batteries. Complete service records, maintenance documentation, and ensure accurate electronic and hard-copy filing. Support failure analysis activities and update records within reliability databases, including completion of work orders and technical reports. Assist team members and support workshop operations as required. Mentor trainees when requested and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition. Follow all quality, health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures and policies. Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the role. Skills Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively under demanding conditions. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Good communication, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities. Positive attitude with a high level of self-motivation and discipline. Willingness to travel internationally when required. Qualifications Fresh graduate with a diploma in engineering or any related field. Recent graduates with a strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or drilling technologies are encouraged to apply.
