Regulatory Specialist I

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Regulatory Specialist - Middle East Regulatory Support to support our Middle East business within the Global Regulatory Affairs organization. This role will be located in Dubai, UAE. What You Will Do Provide regulatory support for ChampionX products and operations throughout the Middle East region and Europe. Monitor and interpret regional chemical regulations and communicate compliance requirements to internal stakeholders. Support product registrations, notifications, exemptions, and regulatory submissions as required by local authorities. Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), product classifications, labels, and compliance declarations. Respond to customer requests regarding product regulatory status, chemical inventories, and compliance requirements. Partner with Supply Chain, Technical Services, R&D, and Commercial teams to support business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance. Evaluate the regulatory impact of product, raw material, and formulation changes. Support hazard communication activities in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and local regulatory requirements. Assist with maintaining regulatory information within SAP and other business systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Participate in regulatory projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to data quality, compliance processes, and customer support. Stay current on emerging regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on ChampionX products and business activities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific discipline. 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, Chemical Compliance, or Hazard Communication within the chemical industry. Working knowledge of global chemical regulations and hazard communication requirements. Experience supporting product registrations, compliance reviews, or regulatory documentation. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret technical and regulatory documents and translate requirements into practical business guidance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting regulatory compliance within the Middle East region. Knowledge of chemical management regulations, GHS implementation, and regional product registration requirements. Experience with SAP or regulatory data management systems. Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks such as REACH, TSCA, AICIS, UK REACH, and other chemical inventory schemes. Experience working in a multinational environment supporting multiple countries and stakeholders.
