Piping Engineers

Job Title: Piping Engineer Employment Type: Permanent Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia This opportunity supports offshore oil & gas projects with a focus on piping detailed engineering and basic design activities. The role involves delivering technical engineering outputs in line with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across design, fabrication, and construction phases. This company operates in the offshore engineering sector and offers exposure to complex offshore structures, submarine pipeline work, and EPCI project environments. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Required Experience: 5-8 years of piping engineering experience within the oil and gas industry Experience supporting offshore platforms, topsides, FPSO, petrochemical, or industrial projects Exposure to detailed engineering, fabrication support, and project execution activities Experience or exposure to FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) Experience in site verification and site survey work Basic involvement in bidding and tendering activities Required Skills: Ability to prepare piping engineering deliverables including layouts, isometrics, line lists, and material specifications Capability to perform basic piping design calculations and support detailed engineering activities Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, SmartPlant 3D, or similar design software Knowledge of ASME, API, and relevant piping codes and standards Understanding of piping materials, specifications, valves, and fittings Familiarity with piping stress analysis principles and CAESAR II Ability to review P&IDs, equipment layouts, vendor documentation, engineering drawings, layouts, and 3D models Knowledge of offshore design and constructability requirements Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure design integration Capability to provide engineering support during fabrication and construction phases Preferred Qualifications: EPC project experience About Airswift: Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
