Service Technician

You will join the Romania service team and learn to safely inspect, service, test and prepare Anderreamer/BHE tools. This is a practical, hands-on role combining workshop activities with occasional field and warehouse support.

You will follow a structured training and competency pathway, working alongside experienced technicians. As your capability develops, you will take on greater responsibility for BHE servicing. The role may involve regional travel, typically for periods of around one to two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, inspect, service and test Anderreamer/BHE tools following NOV procedures and HSE requirements.
• Learn to identify components, take measurements, assess wear and accurately complete service documentation.
• Report damage, abnormal wear, test failures and other non-conforming conditions.
• Support servicing of other RH/DH products when trained and authorized.
• Assist with warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and inventory.
• Provide occasional workshop and field support at other NOV or customer locations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
• Complete required product, HSE and competency training and progress toward standalone Service Technician capability.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Secondary education or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop practical technical skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures and safety requirements.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn service and inventory systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undertake local and international travel.
• Commitment to technical training and continuous development.

Preferred

• Technical/mechanical education, vocational training or apprenticeship.
• Hands-on experience in a workshop, maintenance, servicing or similar technical environment.
• Experience using hand tools or measuring equipment.
• Oilfield/downhole-tool, field-service or warehouse experience.
• Experience with lifting equipment, inspection/NDT or dimensional measurement.
