Job Title: 23988 - Instrumentation and Controls Designer-Longtail Duration: Jan 2027 - May 2028 Schedule: 5 days' work per week, 8 hours per day excluding 1 hour lunch break Location: Tianjin, China (Shipyard based - BOMESC) Open to China local candidates only (Chinese nationality is required) This opportunity is suited to a technical design professional supporting FPSO projects through the delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions. The role focuses on instrumentation and control design, including detailed engineering drawings, layouts, fabrication drawings, and 3D model review using AVEVA E3D and/or Navisworks. This position offers the chance to contribute to construction, installation, and commissioning activities while working closely with engineers, designers, and package engineering teams. Required Education: Diploma in engineering, design, or a related field from a recognized university or college, or a valid technical certificate Required Experience: Experience supporting detailed instrumentation and control design for FPSO or comparable engineering projects Experience producing engineering drawings, layouts, detailed drawings, and fabrication drawings to support construction, installation, and commissioning Experience coordinating with engineers, designers, and package engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and support design intent Experience reviewing vendor documentation and incorporating multidisciplinary inputs into design deliverables Experience planning and completing design activities within agreed time frames while managing interfaces across project systems Required Skills: Instrumentation and control engineering design ICSS instrumentation engineering design and calculation tools Detailed design and systems engineering Telecommunication systems and architecture 3D model review using AVEVA E3D and/or Navisworks Ability to identify clashes, accessibility issues, and model quality improvements during 3D reviews Ability to ensure design outputs align with specifications, client requirements, international codes, company standards, and industry regulations Strong collaboration skills to support interface management, comment close-out, and timely delivery of design work Site engineering and analysis capability About Airswift: Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
