Project Manager (Substation)

Job Title: Project Manager Job Type: On-site Role Overview Airswift is recruiting for a Project Manager to support a brownfield development project based at Port Klang. This Project Manager opportunity is suited to professionals with strong experience in project planning and execution, brownfield construction management, and HSSE leadership within complex industrial environments. The Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating engineering, construction, plant operations, procurement, contractors, regulatory authorities and engineering SMEs to help deliver a safe, compliant and cost-effective project. This Project Manager position offers the chance to contribute to an important infrastructure development in an office and site-based environment. Job Description The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a brownfield development project. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing project scope, plans, budgets, resource requirements and delivery roadmaps, while ensuring alignment with business priorities and project governance expectations. This Project Manager role will work closely with engineering, construction, plant operations, procurement teams, contractors, regulatory authorities and engineering subject matter experts. The Project Manager will be expected to drive safe execution and maintain compliance with company standards, international codes and local regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities will include: - Leading project planning and execution activities across the full project lifecycle - Managing brownfield construction activities within an industrial site environment - Coordinating engineering design and technical deliverables - Overseeing cost estimation, budget control and commercial management - Supporting procurement activities and contractor management - Driving HSSE leadership, risk management and change management practices - Preparing governance reporting and maintaining stakeholder communication - Promoting continuous improvement and problem solving throughout project delivery Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience. A degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related technical discipline is preferred. A relevant professional project management qualification or equivalent practical experience would also be advantageous. Strong experience in managing brownfield engineering, construction and infrastructure projects within manufacturing, oil and gas, lubricants, chemical or similar industrial environments.
