The Data Engineer will work with the team to create state-of-the-art data and analytics driven solutions, working across Baker Hughes to drive business analytics to a new level of predictive analytics while leveraging big data tools and technologies. As Digital Technology Senior Specialist - Data Operations Engineering you will be Responsible for : Design, develop and maintain Databricks SQL and queries to support business operations and applications. Performs a variety of data loads & data transformations. Build a Databricks-based AI pipeline to ingest, process, and analyze enterprise data for predictive and intelligent outcomes. Ensure the architecture is optimized for performance and minimizes compute and storage costs through efficient workload management. Working knowledge of methods for parsing, formatting, & transforming data into units consistent with analytical needs. Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of logical/physical data models that support best practices. Troubleshoot database related issues and provide timely solutions Collaborate with application developers to ensure database architecture aligns with project requirements. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Bachelor's Degree. A minimum 5 years of professional experience. 5+ years of hands on experience in SQL Development and Database management Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries, procedures and functions Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization Knowledge of ETL process and data integration tools Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise: Have experience with cloud based database solutions(Databricks, Snowflake). Should be familiarity with business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau. Have exposure to Scripting (Pig, Python, Perl, etc) experience Have AI-enabled Databricks pipeline with a cost-optimized design for efficient data processing and insights. Have AI exposure and hands-on AI skills are a strong advantage for innovative solutioning. Should Translates analytics problems into data requirements. Should Understands logical and physical data models, big data storage architecture, data modeling methodologies, metadata management, master data management, data lineage & data profiling. Should Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team. Leadership: Demonstrated awareness of how to function in a team setting Distills information down to key points. Expresses the information clearly and concisely. Projects knowledge of relevant data.
