Working alongside engineers, designers, manufacturing teams and other business functions, you will develop complex 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings throughout the product development lifecycle, from early concepts and prototypes through testing, qualification and release.

You will have the opportunity to work on genuinely new technology, helping us challenge conventional designs and bring the next generation of Subsea Production Systems to life.

Make progress at scale, Fuel your passion

As a Senior CAD Designer in New Technology & Product Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop 3D CAD models, complex assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings for new subsea technologies and associated equipment.
  • Convert engineering concepts and requirements into practical, manufacturable design solutions.
  • Produce and maintain drawings in line with GD&T, engineering, and company standards.
  • Perform tolerance analysis, dimensional stack-ups, interference checks, and design assessments to ensure robust product performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development through testing and final product release.
  • Apply DFMA (Design for Manufacture & Assembly) principles and work with manufacturing, supply chain, and suppliers to optimize designs.
  • Manage BOMs, CAD data, product structures, and PLM/Teamcenter documentation, ensuring configuration control and design accuracy.
  • Support design reviews, prototype builds, testing activities, and global cross-functional teams, driving continuous product improvement and innovation.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Proven experience in mechanical CAD design within complex engineering industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Aerospace, Automotive, or Subsea systems.

  • Solid understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, dimensional tolerancing, and DFMA principles.
  • Experience working with complex mechanical assemblies and component integration.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and cost considerations.
  • Proficiency in CREO (Pro/ENGINEER) and preferably Teamcenter/PLM systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and other stakeholders while managing multiple priorities.
  • Relevant engineering/design qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience) with a proactive mindset, curiosity, and continuous learning attitude
