About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team with broad involvement across day-to-day operations, from customer and service order processing through asset and inventory control, logistics, vendor coordination and invoicing.

You will organize and develop the Operations Support team, establish clear priorities and help create reliable administrative processes that enable operational teams to focus on execution.

The position provides significant cross-functional exposure and an opportunity to make a visible impact by improving planning, process discipline, team capability and operational coordination.

This role sits within NOV Downhole Technologies, including Completion Tools, in Stavanger. You will report to an Operations Manager and work closely with Operations, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain and other functions.

This is an onsite position based in Stavanger.

Responsibilities

What you will do

• Lead, support and develop the Operations Support team, setting priorities and ensuring effective coverage of critical activities.
• Oversee customer and service order processing through ERP systems, including scheduling and coordination through to completion.
• Support effective management of assets, inventory and material requirements across operational activities.
• Coordinate logistics and shipping activities involving customers, operational locations and third-party providers.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers supporting repair, service and other operational requirements.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to support effective handovers and reliable order execution.
• Support accurate and timely invoicing and accounts-receivable activities for completed services and deliveries.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning and system-management processes, establish meaningful team KPIs and strengthen ERP capability across the team.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supervising or managing people, including setting priorities, developing employees and managing team performance.
• Strong practical ERP experience and the ability to manage ERP-driven operational workflows.
• Strong inventory and logistics management capability.
• Relevant vendor and customer management experience, including coordination with third-party providers.
• Sufficient financial understanding to recognize how operational activities affect invoicing, accounts receivable and business performance.
• Very good working proficiency in Norwegian and good working proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• University or college qualification in Business Administration, or another relevant educational background.
• Experience or knowledge from oil & gas, energy industry.
• Relevant technical, engineering or quality background.
• Experience with ERP/system implementation or relevant scanning technologies.
