Engineering Lead Process

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead (Process) to oversee process engineering activities for a major offshore oil and gas development project in Qatar. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in offshore topsides process design, engineering deliverables, contractor management, and multidisciplinary coordination, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee process engineering activities for offshore topsides, pipelines, and associated facilities.
• Review and approve contractor engineering deliverables, including process equipment specifications, datasheets, and design documentation.
• Ensure process engineering designs comply with contractual requirements, applicable codes, and international standards.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, and technical risk assessments.
• Monitor contractor progress and coordinate engineering deliverables to meet project schedules.
• Manage technical interfaces with multidisciplinary engineering teams and subject matter experts.
• Review technical deviations, engineering queries, and design modifications.
• Support construction and as-built documentation through engineering reviews and red-line markups.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory, acting leadership, or contractor/vendor oversight experience.
• Strong background in offshore process engineering, particularly topsides facilities and large offshore platforms.
• Experience managing EPC/EPCI contractors and third-party vendors.
• Knowledge of engineering execution from FEED through construction and start-up is preferred.
• Experience with offshore platforms, pipelines, process equipment, and associated facilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of process safety, engineering risk assessments, and international design standards.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) level competency in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Excellent communication, leadership, technical coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
