Site Manager Wind Central Vietnam

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site execution activities related to wind turbine installation and commissioning, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time project delivery.
• Develop and implement site resource plans, including workforce, equipment, and capacity planning.
• Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, EPC contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and other project documentation to relevant stakeholders.
• Direct and supervise site engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, including daily work allocation and performance monitoring.
• Manage site logistics, including spare parts, tools, facilities, vehicles, and equipment.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage Installation Service Providers (ISP) and monitor site performance against project targets.
• Oversee wind turbine erection, mechanical completion, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce project cost per MW installed.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and maintain a strong safety culture across all site operations.
• Review PCP documentation and technical instructions to ensure accurate implementation by EPC contractors and site teams.
• Manage TEQ processes and ensure timely closure of technical and quality-related issues.
• Lead troubleshooting activities for wind turbine generators (WTGs) and resolve complex technical and operational challenges.
• Provide support for ad-hoc project requirements as assigned by the Project Management team.

Requirements

• 7-15 years of experience in site management within the wind energy sector, including at least 2-3 years managing wind turbine installation projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Valid technical certifications, GWO certification, and any required local regulatory training.
• Strong understanding of wind farm construction, installation, and commissioning processes.
• Good knowledge of local HSE regulations, industrial standards, and site safety management.
• Proven leadership and team management experience in a multicultural project environment.
• Good understanding of heavy lifting operations and crane management.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic drawings and circuits.
• Strong site documentation and reporting management skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively and work on rotation-based project assignments.
