Construction Manager

Location: Netherlands / Offshore as required Industry: Energy | Offshore | Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS)
Contract Type: Contract We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Construction Manager to support a major offshore Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) development in the Netherlands.
The project involves offshore pipeline infrastructure and modifications to existing offshore facilities, contributing to the development of CO₂ transportation and storage infrastructure.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing, coordinating and overseeing offshore construction activities, working closely with engineering teams, contractors and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore pipeline construction and installation activities, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors throughout construction preparation, execution and completion.
• Support construction planning, contractor selection and technical evaluations.
• Coordinate offshore installation activities, including subsea pipelines, risers and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure construction activities meet project safety, quality, schedule and contractual requirements.
• Manage interfaces between engineering, construction, marine operations and other project disciplines.
• Monitor contractor performance, identify potential risks and support timely resolution of technical and operational challenges.
• Oversee construction completion, pre-commissioning and handover activities.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• 15+ years of relevant experience within offshore Oil & Gas, CCS or similar energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in offshore pipeline construction and installation.
• Proven experience managing EPC contractors and offshore construction campaigns.
• Solid technical understanding of subsea infrastructure, pipeline installation and marine operations.
• Experience working on brownfield offshore developments.
• Previous North Sea and/or CCS project experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, contractor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

The role will initially be based in the Netherlands, with travel to contractor locations and offshore sites as required.
