Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.
What role you will play in team
The Contract Manager leads and manages contract development for miscellaneous project service contracts and orders (i.e. camp maintenance, consulting, engineering studies) and associated scopes used by various Global project teams typically $10K-$50M USD range. This is an individual contributor position that will collaborate with the global Procurement contracting team, functions and project teams
What you will do
Develop project spot Orders and develop and maintain a portfolio of service contracts
Host as required, a Project Contracting Strategy workshop with project management to develop the Project Work Breakdown Structure for the overall capital project
Lead and manage contract development, including coordination of Scope and Job Specification components. Ensure consistency between General Terms and Conditions Document and all other contract components (exhibits, job specification, etc.) prior to bid issue
Lead commercial evaluations as a member of bid review teams ensuring that commercial impact of any contractual or technical/execution issues/exceptions resolved/changed during the evaluation period are accurately reflected in final total evaluated cost and contract documents
Ensure all documents and exhibits are complete and included in final agreements, all functional reviews and management approvals are completed/obtained as required
Collaborate, handle conflict, and resolve complex commercial exceptions with bidder’s legal and management representatives in a timely manner
Develop agreements with Lump Sum, Time and Materials, Reimbursable Cost and Unit Rate compensation structures
Communicate and present with excellence appropriate messages to various levels of leadership as well as external parties
Proactively and frequently communicate and collaborate within Projects organization, functions (i.e. legal) and Procurement category families to maximize commercial outcomes
Monitor status of the contractor market (seeking input from Category Managers)
Analyze data on market intelligence from other internal groups and use results to optimize project execution strategies
Integrates overall commercial - technical contracting components and ensures overall contract quality and integrity
Follow all ExxonMobil controls and system requirements
Collaborate with a global team and willing to adapt schedule to align with project teams
Support project service contracting needs with tight deadlines
About you
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees with minimum 6 CGPA
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Contracts Manager on project service contracts
5+ years of broad-based contracting experience including contract development, contract maintenance, and negotiations experience in related professional experience
Contracting experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
Strong commercial proficiency – contract development with variety of compensation types (lump sum, time and materials, reimbursable and unit rate), negotiation and influence, bid development and evaluation, total system cost development, analytical skills, supplier relationship management, contracting strategy development, contract maintenance
Outstanding behavioral proficiency – internal initiative/drive, resilience, communication skills, ability to integrate easily
Other strong proficiency – service excellence, sound decision maker, strong collaborator, knowledge of requisition/purchase to pay process
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Experience of the India & international EPC market, contracts (reimbursable and lump-sum), and supply chain
Understanding of Engineering Services/EPC Category Agreement templates/compensation methodologies
