Tax Supervisor - 212652 (Houston, TX, US, 77032)

Job Duties

• Prepare and analyze monthly legal entity tax forecasts and global cash tax forecasts, identifying key tax drivers and forecast variances.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740, including current and deferred tax calculations, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions for U.S. and non-U.S. entities in 80+ countries.
• Prepare the intercompany tax provision and eliminations to support accurate consolidated tax reporting.
• Coordinate with the accounting and finance teams to prepare tax journal entries and support monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
• Support the accuracy and completeness of tax-related disclosures included in SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q. Prepare effective tax rate reconciliations, deferred tax rollforwards, tax footnotes, and other income tax disclosures.
• Support the quarterly FIN 48 analysis, documentation, and reporting process. Evaluate and quantify uncertain tax positions, tax contingency reserves, and related interest and penalties. Prepare and maintain technical documentation supporting tax positions and audit defense strategies. Assist in coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders regarding FIN 48 conclusions and disclosures.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality, accuracy, and compliance. Collaborate with the Senior Tax Manager on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Advanced tax or accounting credentials preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred.
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and Alteryx strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience, including working knowledge of ASC 740, U.S. GAAP income tax accounting, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to both technical and non-technical audiences.
