SURF Flow Assurance Engineer Location: Europe Contract Type: [Contract / Permanent – specify] Overview We are currently supporting a major energy client on a large-scale offshore development and are looking to engage a SURF Flow Assurance Engineer to join the team. This is a key position within a high-profile project, offering the opportunity to work on complex deepwater subsea systems and contribute to critical technical decisions across the project lifecycle. Key Words Flow Assurance / Assurance d’écoulement / SURF Engineering / Ingénierie SURF / Subsea Systems / Systèmes sous-marins / Multiphase Flow / Écoulement multiphasique / Hydrate Management / Gestion des hydrates/ Offshore Deepwater / Offshore eaux profondes / Thermal & Hydraulic Analysis / Analyse thermique et hydraulique /OLGA Simulation / Simulation OLGA/ Production Optimisation / Optimisation de production/ Risers & Flowlines / Risers et conduites/ Wax & Asphaltene / Cires et asphaltènes/ Field Development / Développement de champ Role Responsibilities As a Flow Assurance Engineer, you will play a leading role in ensuring the integrity and performance of subsea production systems, including: Leading flow assurance studies for SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines) systems Performing steady-state and transient simulations (e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, etc.) Managing risks related to hydration, wax, asphaltene, scaling, and slugging Supporting design and optimisation of subsea production and transportation systems Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (subsea, process, reservoir, operations) Providing technical input into FEED, detailed engineering, and execution phases Reviewing contractor deliverables and ensuring compliance with project standards Contributing to operability, start-up, and troubleshooting strategies Candidate Profile We are keen to speak with experienced professionals who bring: Extensive experience in flow assurance engineering within SURF projects Proven background working on deepwater or complex offshore developments Strong expertise in simulation tools (OLGA highly preferred) Solid understanding of thermal, hydraulic, and multiphase flow behaviour Experience across project phases (FEED, EPC, operations support) Ability to work in an international, fast-paced project environment Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline Why Apply?
