Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and talented User Experience (UX) Designer to create and deliver innovative, market-leading digital products within the energy industry. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, and Product Management to design and validate solutions for a global customer base.
The ideal candidate will leverage user research and data insights to build scalable design systems, intuitive workflows, and user-centric interfaces that address diverse user roles and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion best practices for inclusive, accessible, and user-centered design
Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to inform UX strategy and decision-making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile SCRUM environment
Create UX deliverables including:
Information architecture
User flows
Personas
Wireframes
Prototypes and UI designs
Conduct heuristic evaluations and identify improvement opportunities
Communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders and leadership
Translate complex engineering concepts into intuitive user interfaces
Recommend improvements in process, tools, and design efficiency
Uphold company policies, ethics, and standards
Skills:
4+ years of experience in product/UX design for complex SaaS platforms or enterprise B2B applications
Advanced proficiency in Figma or similar design/prototyping tools
Strong understanding of:
Information architecture
Interaction design
Scalable design systems
Ability to synthesize research insights into clear workflows and solutions
Strong portfolio demonstrating:
Complex UX problem-solving
Systems-level design thinking
Data visualization for situational awareness
High-fidelity UI design
Experience collaborating with engineering teams in Agile environments
Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly interfaces
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in oil & gas, energy, industrial technology, or engineering sectors
Familiarity with:
Drilling, completions, intervention, or performance analytics environments
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
Experience with user research methodologies including:
Interviews
Usability testing
Heuristic evaluations
Working knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, React)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Degree in Art, Design, or related discipline from an accredited university
Proven ability to drive design direction across products or platforms
Experience building and maintaining design systems, including:
Token management
Documentation
Developer support
