Partner with the best The Field Offshore Lab Technician will contribute to the design and development of products and their interaction with the system. The role requires understanding of concepts, methods, and procedures. Fuel your passion As an Offshore Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for: Working independently and safely with minimum supervision in accordance with Baker Hughes established safety procedures and practices. Maintaining good housekeeping at the work site. Capable of generating relevant laboratory reports. Be responsible for the proper use and care of tools and equipment and shall return all unused materials to stock. Coordinate core sample analyses with external laboratories when necessary. Coordinate the collection/sampling of field oil, gas and water samples, and having them packed properly for shipping to an external laboratory. Be capable of meeting rigorous requirements for calibration, verification, and repeatability tests. Identify problems and issues with sampling equipment and test results. Working together with people from the business unit. Specifying activities, planning activities, and giving explanations on technical issues. Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presenting to internal teams on metrics, project status and research. To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or Natural Sciences Degree 6 months of working experience in a laboratory environment preferred. Experience in performing oil analysis of hydrocarbons including, but not limited to, condensate, injection water, produced water, and gases. Knowledgeable in industry-standard laboratory guidelines and procedures and familiarity with ISO 17025 lab management.
