Title: Construction Superintendent – Structure (Fabrication Yard) KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Construction Superintendent – Structure for an Offshore Project to be based initially for some time Office and then move to Fabrication Yard office and if required by client team, the role may move to Offshore Site on 6 weeks/ 3 weeks rotation ( as per client requirement). The Construction Superintendent – Structure is responsible for overseeing and managing all structural fabrication activities within the fabrication yard. This role ensures that structural steel fabrication, assembly, fit‑up, welding, surface treatment, inspection, and readiness for shipment are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Key Responsibilities Construction & Execution Supervise all structural fabrication activities including cutting, assembly, fit‑up, welding, dimensional control, blasting, painting, and preservation. Ensure fabrication works comply with IFC drawings, material specifications, project procedures, and approved methodologies. Coordinate daily yard activities, work fronts, and manpower allocation. Ensure structures are fabricated in line with project schedule and delivery milestone Requirements Minimum Overall 15+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry. Having experience working in EPC? Offshore/ Modular Fabrication Projects. 10–15 years of experience in structural construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects. Minimum 5 years in a supervisory/ superintendent role within fabrication yard operation Having minimum 5+ years of previous experience working in Offshore Projects. Must have worked at least 5 years of experience in similar position for mega oil and gas EPC project ( more than US$ 1 Billion) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is a MUST. Technical Expertise Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, and surface preparation/painting. Familiar with international codes and standards such as AWS, AISC, BS, EN, ISO. Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and MTOs KBR — Delivering Solutions, Changing the World.
