Job Summary: This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems. You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks. Roles and Responsibilities: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers Recommend solutions to design problems. Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance. Ability to climb ladders up to 8 feet in height and safely ascend/descend as needed. Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 25-40 pounds Comfortable performing tasks in overhead work positions for extended periods. Perform other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance High School diploma or equivalent. Must have as a minimum, eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics. Must have or be able to obtain IAT Level 1 certification within 9 months of hire. Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments. Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school. Previous Intrusion Detection System experience desired.
