Airswift is currently looking for a Senior Contract Engineer – Plant Operations to work with our client an Oil and Gas Starting date: Sept 2026 Duration: 12 Month renewable contract Location: Milan, Italy Activities: The Senior Contract Engineer position is responsible for: • Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct. The job holder participates in the Contracts and Procurement entity processes by performing the following tasks: • Work closely with the DUET to assemble the contract dossier, define contractual responsibilities clearly and agree the timetable including:- Develop a contracting strategy and issue calls for tenders to find appropriate expertise to support the different functions- Negotiate and analyse commercial bids • Prepare Recommendations To Award (RTA) • Ensure that all insurance matters concerning TEPMA1 assets and personnel are addressed • Manage his/her performance by monitoring KPIs and ensure the contract management tool is updated • Keep informed of best practices in contracting procedures in other entities to improve contract practices in TEPMA1 • Use existing framework agreements The job holder performs the following contract activities • Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors/suppliers/potential bidders/contracts with current information to conduct market studies; analyse and evaluate all responses from the market • Develop contracting strategies and issue calls for complex tenders to find suitable expertise to support the different functions- Lead the presentation of RTA to the Contracts Committee or the appropriate DOA approver with a joint recommendation with DUET- Draft technical contracts and contractual agreements, and directly participate in the most complex contracts • Conduct commercial bid analysis and negotiations, thereby creating a clear definition of responsibilities and documentation together with the DUET • Take the leading role in Recommendation To Award (RTA) through the Contracts Committee/DOA with a joint recommendation with DUET • Ensure the handover of contracts to the Partners’ Entities and monitor contractor performance with DUET • Assist C&P management in the settlement of claims and lawsuits, in coordination with Legal, Insurance, Finance and TEPMA1 Management by proposing strategies and actions and participating in negotiations • Monitor ongoing contract status, and participate in contract renewal and amendment discussions Purposes: - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.- Optimize contract management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with company objectives.- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.- Provide expert advice on contract negotiations and procurement strategies.- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.- Support the implementation of sustainable procurement practices.- Ensure the integrity and transparency of procurement processes.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement systems and tools. Qualification / Experience required Qualification level required for the position : Level 7 = Master’s or equivalent level Technical skills required for the position : - Advanced contracts and procurement technical competencies required- Basic or intermediate level in other technical competencies- International experience required QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES: Personal abilities: advanced management, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving and planning/organizing/coordinating/controlling. Excellent negotiation skills. Understanding of core operational activities and ability to handle cross-branch issues. Behavioral competencies required for the position : Working under pressure and in difficult environments. Language skills required for the position : Good command of the English language Certification required for the position : Advanced certification in C&P tools required Specific knowledge required for the position : Mastery of supply chain processes, planning, and a fair technical knowledge of construction site activities. Level of experience required for the position : 10-15 years (minimum 3 years in the technical contracts domain of Plant Maintenance and Operations) Accountabilities: Providing Project Control support including; tools, reports and deliverables consistently and accurately for Site Construction Management, N+1, N+2. General support to Onshore PMT and overall Project Controls team
