About the role bp’s global Insurance team, based in London and Houston, supports the business in managing risk through insurance programmes across its worldwide operations. A new Insurance Operations team is being set up in Budapest to support these teams. As an Insurance Operations Senior Analyst, you will report to the Insurance Operations Lead in Budapest and work closely with colleagues in London and Houston. In this role, you will help manage day-to-day insurance activities, including supporting insurance programmes, assisting with claims handling and settlements, and helping ensure that processes follow internal and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the global insurance team and have the opportunity to interact with and build relationships with other internal teams and businesses across bp and external service providers. A key part of your role will include supporting the UK and US workers’ compensation programmes, including claims management and TPA (third party administrators) oversight. This position gives you exposure to bp’s global operations and the opportunity to work on a wide range of insurance activities across different business areas and regions. Working together with and in support of the global insurance team in this role You will Help manage bp’s insurance programmes and support business teams in making sure insurance requirements and internal policies are followed. Work with business teams across bp to align insurance solutions with their operational and risk management needs. Coordinate the purchase and renewal of insurance policies Support the US workers compensation programme including claims management and TPA (third party administrators) oversight. Work with external service providers such as insurance brokers and insurers to support the delivery of insurance services. Provide ongoing support of insurance programmes for various business activities such as tenders, new projects, contract reviews, and claims, helping teams identify and address insurance-related requirements. What You will need to be successful BSc or BA Degree or equivalent. Insurance experience or some experience of the following : Negotiating skills for example in contract dispute or price negotiations. Procurement and tendering for example in the sourcing, tendering and selection of key suppliers Partners manaleadership skills example managing a key internal or external relationship Financial skills for example including analysing and interpreting data sets and proficiency in excel, Power BI and/or other finance tools Effective verbal communication, written and presentation skills with internal participants, partners and suppliers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritise and multi-task Strong risk and HSE bias Willingness to learn and utilise digital, AI and automation tools.
