Position: Senior ICSS Engineer (Industrial Control System Security) Function: Onshore & Operations Support Location: Qatar Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior ICSS Engineer to support the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Industrial Control System (ICS) security across major operational and expansion projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring secure system design, compliance with engineering standards, and seamless integration of cybersecurity practices within Operational Technology (OT) environments. Key Responsibilities ICS Security Engineering & Project Support Implement and maintain ICS Security engineering standards, procedures, and system design specifications. Provide expert technical input during project design phases (FEL, FEED, detailed design). Review and validate system architecture, network design, functional specifications, and interface agreements to ensure compliance with security requirements. Identify system limitations and recommend improvements, upgrades, and best practices. Risk Management & Compliance Participate in ICS security risk assessments, technology evaluations, and deviation reviews. Support disaster recovery planning (DRP) and simulation exercises. Ensure full compliance with ICS Security policies, operational readiness plans, and engineering standards. Conduct periodic self-assessments to evaluate security compliance and identify improvement opportunities. Testing, Commissioning & Handover Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities. Validate system integrity and readiness prior to operational handover. Ensure smooth transition of project deliverables to operations in line with operational readiness processes. Operational Support & Continuous Improvement Act as a technical focal point for ICS Security Custodians and technical teams. Support incident investigations and root cause analyses related to ICS security. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and productivity enhancements. Maintain and update ICS asset inventory and lifecycle management records. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Instrumentation & Control Engineering Electrical / Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering / Computer Science Minimum 6 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or energy sector. Proven experience in ICS/OT cybersecurity environments. Hands-on experience implementing security controls in industrial systems. Strong understanding of industrial control systems and OT networks. Solid knowledge of: ICS/SCADA/DCS systems Network architecture and cybersecurity frameworks Security tools such as IDS, IPS, and SIEM Experience in ICS security monitoring, auditing, and compliance processes. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex ICS security issues.
