Snr Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Job Purpose Provide electrical engineering expertise to support projects, operations, and maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide electrical engineering support across projects, operations, and maintenance activities. Review electrical designs, drawings, and documentation including Single Line Diagrams, schematics, and LV/MV systems. Support project teams by reviewing scope changes, identifying risks, and ensuring alignment with operational requirements. Participate in FAT/SAT activities and support commissioning and start-up activities. Apply electrical engineering principles in system analysis including power calculations, load analysis, and power factor correction. Support power generation and distribution systems, including generator operations and load management. Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC) and best practices. Identify and address electrical risks, including hazardous area classification, arc flash, and safe work practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical input to project and operational stakeholders. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience Minimum 10+ years of experience in oil & gas or related industry Technical Skills Knowledge of electrical systems (LV/MV/HV) and components (transformers, switchgear, UPS, motors, generators) Understanding of protection systems (overcurrent, earth fault, undervoltage) Familiarity with power system concepts (load shedding, generator control, reactive power) Knowledge of IEC standards and hazardous area classifications Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics Soft Skills Good communication and teamwork skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
