Background in Instrumentation and Control would also be advantageous. Summarized Job Description Role Overview The position is for a Senior Commissioning Engineer (Telecommunications) responsible for: Leading pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. Ensuring telecom systems are tested, safe, and handed over properly. Acting as a key interface between contractor and asset owner. Delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality & HSE standards. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication (or similar). 15+ years in Oil & Gas industry. At least 10 years in telecom commissioning, including offshore projects. Strong experience in: FEED & EPIC projects. Contractor deliverables review/approval. Preferable: Chartered Engineer status. Offshore certifications (BOSIET/FOET). Experience in Instrumentation & Control would be advantageous. Technical Expertise Required Extensive knowledge of telecom systems such as: CCTV, PA/GA systems Radio systems (VHF/UHF/microwave) Structured cabling Telephony (IP phones, hotlines) AIS, e-Mustering, telemetry Network management systems Also requires: FAT/SAT testing experience. Strong knowledge of engineering standards, HSE, and QA/QC. Core Responsibilities Project & Commissioning Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities. Ensure systems meet design, safety, and operational requirements. Oversee pre-commissioning, mechanical completion, commissioning & handover. Leadership & Coordination: Lead engineers, technicians, and contractors. Act as interface between project team, contractors, and operations. Manage multicultural teams and offshore workforce.
