Technical Writer
Job Purpose
Develop, review, and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly operating procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to support safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Create and update operational procedures, standing instructions, and technical documentation.
Review and validate existing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Prepare concise technical and safety-related documents aligned with industry best practices.
Develop competency assessment packages and training-related documentation.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects teams to capture technical changes and update relevant documents.
Ensure "as-built" and current operating information is reflected in all documentation.
Support process improvements by identifying documentation gaps and recommending solutions.
Manage document review and approval workflows with relevant stakeholders.
Work with engineering and drafting teams to ensure diagrams, drawings, and process documents are accurately updated.
Qualifications
HND, Diploma, or Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in process operations, LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
At least 3 years of experience in technical writing, procedure development, or technical documentation.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
Strong technical writing, analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
Knowledge of process operations, safety standards, and technical documentation practices.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
