Application Engineer

Key Responsibilities Lead regional application engineering and business development activities to support growth across the full transformer product portfolio. Deliver customer-facing initiatives including technical training's, customer visits, specification reviews, tender clarifications, and participation in conferences. Act as a technical advisor, influencing specifications, supporting negotiations, and guiding customers on transformer applications and system integration. Support internal teams by delivering technical training, shaping tender strategies, coordinating with factory and engineering teams, and assisting during FATs and post‑order technical discussions. Establish KPIs covering training activities, specification influence, and customer engagement, ensuring clear visibility of progress and outcomes. Contribute to market planning by combining customer insights with strategic analysis, and provide technical and market feedback to regional and global product teams. Ensure full compliance with all internal and external standards, procedures, and safety requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; a master’s degree or technical body membership (e.g., CIGRE, IEC) is a plus. At least 5 years’ experience in transformers—R&D, engineering, design, product marketing, sales, business development, or project management. Strong understanding of transformer technologies, applications, and market segments, with the ability to support sales teams and bridge technical and commercial objectives. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across teams and customer groups. Willing to travel up to 50% across the region; strong English and local language proficiency required. Culturally adaptable, collaborative, and confident in leading discussions with multi‑country teams.
