, Philippines Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: July 6, 2026 Job Description: What’s the role As a Stock Recording and Reconciliation Analyst, you’ll support accurate inventory accounting by recording, validating, and reconciling inventory movements across Shell-operated and third-party storage locations. You’ll work closely with operations, finance, and commercial stakeholders to ensure inventory transactions are accurately reflected in our financial records and comply with accounting policies and controls. You’ll investigate and resolve discrepancies, support month-end close activities, and help improve processes through simplification and automation. You'll join a collaborative finance team focused on delivering reliable financial information and driving operational excellence across Shell’s global business. What you’ll be doing Record and reconcile daily inventory movements, ensuring transactions are complete, accurate, and recorded on time. Perform inventory book-to-physical reconciliations and support month-end close activities. Work with internal and external stakeholders to investigate, resolve, and escalate inventory and accounting discrepancies. Ensure compliance with Shell policies, accounting standards, and control requirements. Execute key financial controls to mitigate financial reporting risks and maintain accurate financial records. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate processes. Contribute to enhancements in reporting, controls, data quality, and system capabilities. Collaborate with team members and business partners to deliver efficient, high-quality inventory accounting operations. What you bring Required qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a related field. Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems. Skills and capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment. Capable of managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to apply business and process knowledge to improve operational performance. Willingness to work mid-shift and night-shift schedules during month-end close periods.
