Exploration Project Geologist

Exploration Project Geologist – FIFO Gold Exploration Make an impact on a growing exploration portfolio. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Exploration Project Geologist to join a dynamic and expanding gold exploration team in Western Australia. This role offers the chance to take ownership of exploration programs across a highly prospective tenure package, contributing directly to discovery success, resource growth, and future mine development opportunities. Working alongside a collaborative and technically capable team, you will be involved in all stages of exploration, from target generation and drill planning through to resource definition. Reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will lead and coordinate exploration activities while ensuring programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. Key Responsibilities: Design, coordinate and oversee RC, diamond and aircore drilling campaigns. Conduct detailed geological logging of drill chips and core. Interpret geological, geochemical and structural datasets to generate and refine exploration targets. Manage drilling contractors and field-based exploration activities. Coordinate sampling programs and maintain robust QA/QC protocols. Monitor project schedules, budgets and contractor performance. Prepare technical reports, presentations and exploration updates for internal and external stakeholders. Support resource development and mineral resource growth initiatives. Utilise industry-standard geological software, including Micromine and QGIS, with exposure to Leapfrog and ioGAS considered advantageous. Collaborate closely with Mining, Technical Services, Environmental and other operational teams. Requirements: Qualifications Degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded but not essential. Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence. Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable). Experience & Technical Skills Experience exploring for greenstone-hosted orogenic gold deposits. Proven ability to plan and supervise drilling programs. Strong geological logging, interpretation and target generation capabilities. Experience using geological modelling and data management software. Sound understanding of sampling methods and QA/QC principles. Ability to integrate geological, structural and geochemical information. Well-developed organisational and project management abilities.
