Title: DJBOSS: MWR Technician-Lightguard Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR! Program Summary KBR sustains the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Djibouti, Africa, Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Our services encompass program management, contingency and expeditionary, asset management and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. KBR ensures the base operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution. Job Summary MWR Technician/Lifeguard Coordinates and implements the MWR mission program at a specific facility. Provides exercise guidance, testing, prescription, and supervision to MWR users and teaches group exercise classes. Assists with health program delivery. Maintains monthly health bulletin boards and educational materials. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Error is readily ascertainable and can be corrected. Skills are typically acquired through completion of high school and 2+ years of experience involving the coordination of organized team sports, recreational club activities, and social event scheduling. MWR Armed Forces experience, and some college course work is preferred. CPR and first aid certification are preferred. If MWR facility has aquatic features this position would require American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Certification. Roles and Responsibilities Assist in performing daily Pool Operations and Water Analysis Testing for water quality standards per Chapter 4, Section II of NAVMED P-5010-4 Conduct daily checks of area and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair. Assist in cleaning /filters/vacuuming and daily pool maintenance visual PMs. Conduct safe pool events. Follow all safety measures during storms/ emergency procedures. Monitor proper use of Aquatics /Recreation equipment. Assist in conducting monthly Chemical and property inventories. Ensure Safety requirements are met, chemicals and equipment used are stored properly. Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Follow all rules and regulations of company carefully and provide the best quality customer service to our valid customer Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing the required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as required and directed. Prepares materials, builds and erects a broad range of structures in support of plant construction and maintenance activities. Basic Qualifications Training: Lifeguards shall have successfully completed American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or Lifeguard Instructor or Lifeguard Instructor Trainer). Lifeguards should have successfully completed training upon hire in CPR, First Aid, AED, Customer Service equivalent with Navy Star Service Training and general NAVOSH rules and regulations Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
