Join our Castrol Team and advance your career as a Global Logistics Category Manager (Road Transport) CASTROL The Global Logistics Category Manager (Road Transport) leads end‑to‑end category strategy, sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance management across the global logistics portfolio, focusing on Category Strategy ownership and execution for Road Transport globally, while being accountable for the execution of all Logistics subcategories in Europe This category covers major spending areas including road transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, rail logistics, offshore support vessels and similar services, making it a critical indirect category with high operational impact. In this role You will: Category Strategy & Market Insights: Analyze spending, market trends, demand patterns, and cost drivers to develop innovative category strategies that deliver value, resilience, and sustainability Global Logistics Optimization: Find opportunities to consolidate, standardize, and optimize transportation, warehousing, and freight operations across key global markets Commercial & Supplier Management: Develop commercial models, manage supplier performance, and build strategic partnerships that drive service excellence, efficiency, and long-term value Data-Driven Category Excellence: Use market intelligence, analytics, and digital tools to enhance category performance, align demand, and ensure successful strategy execution Transformation & Continuous Improvement: Lead change initiatives, drive innovation, and leverage digital solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes Customer Engagement & Influence: Partner with cross-functional teams and senior participants, using strong communication and storytelling skills to align priorities, influence decisions, and drive adoption Trusted Advisor & Category SME: Champion category expertise, share market insights, and build capability across the wider procurement organization to support business success Global Collaboration: Thrive in a complex, multi-cultural environment, managing diverse partner relationships and ensuring seamless strategy delivery across regions Innovation & Future Focus: Accept digital fluency, data-driven decision-making, market curiosity, and emerging technologies to unlock new opportunities and competitive advantage Operational Excellence: Prepare high-quality cases, documentation, and partner communications to support key decision-making and critical initiatives What You will need to be successful: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or equivalent experience (postgraduate procurement qualifications are a plus) Proven experience in the Procurement of transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and last-mile delivery, managing complex global spend portfolios Strong category management expertise, with the ability to develop and complete category strategies that deliver commercial value Exceptional management and influencing skills, able to build trusted partnerships across global teams Experience working within a multinational procurement environment, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and sourcing strategies Data-driven and commercially focused, using insights to solve problems, see opportunities, and support strategic decision-making Skilled in supplier relationship management, driving performance, collaboration, innovation, and long-term value Collaborative attitude, who thrives in global in cross-functional environments and can successfully lead change through complexity Passionate about continuous improv
