Senior Structural Designers (S3D)
Senior Structural Designer (S3D) Job Purpose Responsible for independently delivering 3D modelling, 2D drawings, material take-offs (MTO), connection detailing, and fabrication drawings for offshore structure projects. Ensure all design deliverables are practical for fabrication and installation, compliant with project specifications, relevant design codes, industry standards, and Technip Energies procedures. Relationship Reporting Line Civil, Structural & Naval Department Manager Key Stakeholders Internal: Lead Engineer, Lead Designer, Project Engineers, Discipline Engineers, Designers and Draftsmen External: Vendors and suppliers, Subcontractors Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for offshore structural projects. Produce structural detailing, connection details, fabrication drawings, and construction deliverables in accordance with project requirements and schedules. Ensure all design work complies with Technip Energies standards, project specifications, applicable regulations, and recognized industry codes. Coordinate closely with engineering, design, and project teams to ensure efficient and fit-for-purpose design solutions. Interface with other engineering disciplines throughout project execution to resolve design and constructability issues. Generate and verify material take-offs (MTO) and bills of quantities (BOQ), ensuring accuracy and completeness. Incorporate fabrication, constructability, and installation considerations into design deliverables, including brownfield project constraints where applicable. Review and check drawings, models, and design deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance. Support procurement activities by coordinating with vendors and reviewing supplier information as required. Contribute to the timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. Requirements Technical Diploma in Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline. Minimum 7 years of experience in structural design and execution of offshore facilities projects. Hands-on experience with AVEVA E3D for offshore structural 3D modelling. Strong knowledge of: Material Take-Off (MTO) preparation Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Structural steel and joint detailing Fabrication and construction drawings Good understanding of offshore structural design practices, fabrication, and installation requirements. Experience with S3D (Smart 3D), Tekla Structures, and/or BOCAD. Knowledge of fabrication yard practices and offshore installation methodologies. Experience working on brownfield modification projects and tie-in activities. Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination within EPC/EPCI offshore projects.
