Concrete Superintendent Fifo

We're currently partnering with a leading project delivery organisation to recruit an experienced Concrete Superintendent for a major industrial construction project in North Queensland for an initial short term contract with strong possibility of extension. This is a hands-on site leadership role where you'll be responsible for driving the safe and efficient execution of large-scale concrete works, coordinating multiple contractors and ensuring construction activities remain aligned with project milestones. Operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster, this is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project during a critical phase of delivery. The Opportunity As the Concrete Superintendent, you'll oversee all aspects of concrete construction from planning through to execution, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification. You'll work closely with construction, engineering and project management teams to remove constraints, coordinate resources and maintain progress across multiple work fronts. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the delivery of major concrete and civil construction activities across site. Supervising subcontractors and direct labour to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards. Reviewing construction methodologies, technical documentation and engineering deliverables to support efficient project execution. Coordinating daily construction activities and resolving site issues as they arise. Monitoring contractor performance, productivity and compliance with project requirements. Supporting construction planning through look-ahead scheduling, material coordination and workforce planning. Managing field changes, technical queries and construction documentation. Working collaboratively with engineering, quality, HSE and project controls teams to achieve key project milestones. Building strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors and key project stakeholders. Experience: We're looking for an experienced construction leader who has successfully delivered reinforced concrete packages on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects. You will ideally bring: Extensive experience supervising concrete construction on major projects within mining, resources, energy, heavy industrial or infrastructure environments. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, complex formwork systems, equipment foundations and large concrete pours. Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating concurrent construction activities. A sound understanding of construction drawings, specifications, QA/QC processes and site safety requirements. The ability to confidently lead teams, make decisions on site and manage competing project priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering, construction and contractor teams. An Engineering qualification is advantageous, although substantial practical construction experience will also be highly regarded.
