The Opportunity
Our Client are looking for a hands on Workshop Technician to join their Worcester facility, supporting the refurbishment, modification, assembly and testing of equipment used across customer installations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid mechanical background looking to develop their skills within a specialist engineering environment. Previous experience with cryogenic equipment or pressure vessels isn't essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Refurbish, modify and prepare mechanical equipment for customer installations.
Assemble, test and repair cryogenic storage tanks, associated pipework and ancillary equipment.
Refurbish nitrogen generators, compressors and other mechanical equipment.
Carry out mechanical fitting, fault finding and functional testing.
Complete inspection records, work orders and equipment reports accurately.
Perform oxygen cleaning activities where required.
Support planned maintenance activities within the workshop.
Assist with equipment investigations, continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high workshop standards.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with candidates who have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in areas such as:
Mechanical fitting or workshop engineering.
Pipefitting and mechanical assembly.
Pneumatic systems.
Fabrication, welding, soldering or brazing.
Working with valves, regulaany industry will be considered, including manufacturing, process plant, utilities, automotive, aerospace, food production, heavy engineering or industrial maintenance, provided they have solid mechanical engineering experience.
