Regulatory Technician Location: Melbourne (Docklands), VIC Duration: 12-Month Contract (with potential extension subject to business requirements and performance) Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to Hastings, Sale, and Bass Strait offshore assets as required About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Technician to support the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team in maintaining and administering the organisation's regulatory compliance framework. Working closely with the Regulatory Lead, HSE team, and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring regulatory obligations are accurately tracked, monitored, and reported to maintain ongoing compliance and license to operate. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a compliance-focused professional with strong systems administration and reporting capabilities to contribute to a high-performing team supporting Bass Strait operations. Key Responsibilities RegFrame & Compliance Systems Administration Maintain and update the RegFrame compliance system, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and current. Coordinate the quarterly Regulatory Compliance Deliverables Report, including tracking responses and updating compliance records. Support asset teams and stakeholders in the use of RegFrame and completion of required compliance activities. Monitor outstanding compliance actions and overdue items, escalating issues where necessary. Compile and distribute regular compliance status reports and stakeholder updates. Legislation & Regulatory Monitoring Track changes in legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to the business. Maintain the Legislation Summary Register and ensure updates are reflected within RegFrame. Assist with the development and coordination of compliance plans. Support the monitoring and reporting of regulatory compliance KPIs. Provide administrative support for compliance reviews and audits. Document Control & Administration Maintain regulatory documents, registers, and tracking systems to ensure information remains current and accurate. Monitor compliance reporting requirements and support timely regulatory submissions. Assist in preparing and issuing HSE regulatory communications. Monitor shared regulatory inboxes and ensure document control processes are followed. Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Regulatory team. Skills & Experience Experience working with compliance systems, databases, or regulatory management platforms. Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality. Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical compliance actions. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience tracking, reporting, and communicating compliance performance and risks. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Excel, and document management systems. Strong organisational and time management skills with experience managing cyclical reporting processes. A proactive approach to following up actions and driving tasks to completion. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to summarise complex regulatory information for a variety of audiences. Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
