DG BOSS: Store Worker (FN)
Title: DG BOSS: Store Worker (FN) Maintain adequate stock and inventory to support retail operations. Maintains inventory and stock levels to provide the highest quality merchandise to meet Diego Garcia customers’ needs including Government specified “Never-out” items. Maintains the stock to ensure no out-of-stock items on the “Never Out” items that include, but are not limited to, staple food items, soap, detergent, and deodorant. Conducts physical inventory IAW NAVSUP P-487 to prevent overstocking or lack of inventory. Never-Out items physical inventory is conducted every month. Assists and interacts with customers and other store services. Performs other duties as assigned and directed. Basic Qualifications Physical strength, capacity, and the ability to lift 20 pounds, as well as stand and move around. Ability to work quickly and in a potentially high-stress environment. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English. Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health. Preferred Qualifications EDUCATION: Must have at least a high school diploma, technical or vocational course graduate is required. EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory control, ordering, shelf stocking, and material handling. Experience in any retail store as a merchandiser or shelf packer in a commercial establishment is highly desirable. KBR — Delivering Solutions, Changing the World.
