Project Overview
The project involves the FEED and engineering development of complex offshore platform facilities, with a strong focus on procurement quality assurance, vendor surveillance, technical compliance, inspection strategy and quality control of critical equipment and materials.
Position Overview
The QA/QC Engineer – Material (Valve) will participate in the procurement, manufacturing, inspection and quality assurance activities for various types of valves, including:
Ball valves
Gate valves
Check valves
Butterfly valves
Double Block and Bleed (DBB) valves
The position will support the complete procurement and manufacturing process, from Request for Quotation (RFQ) through final shipment. This includes involvement in Technical Bid Evaluation, Purchase Order review, Kick-Off Meetings, Pre-Inspection Meetings, manufacturing surveillance, in-progress inspections, pressure testing, Factory Acceptance Testing and final inspection.
The engineer will also be responsible for addressing and resolving quality-related matters throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
Become fully familiar with the company’s quality requirements, project specifications and applicable procedures.
Participate in meetings with vendors and company representatives to ensure that all parties clearly understand the project’s quality requirements.
Attend Kick-Off Meetings and prepare the relevant quality section of the Kick-Off Meeting presentation.
Review and provide comments on vendor quality and manufacturing documents, including:
Inspection and Test Plans
Manufacturing Procedure Specifications
Factory Acceptance Test procedures
Inspection reports
Manufacturing and quality records
Other relevant vendor documentation
Communicate with vendors and company representatives regarding disputed comments, technical clarifications or quality-related feedback.
Arrange clarification meetings when required to resolve outstanding quality or technical matters.
Coordinate closely with vendors to ensure that Pre-Inspection Meetings are conducted according to the agreed project schedule.
Organise and chair Pre-Inspection Meetings.
Verify Notice of Inspection readiness and forward the relevant information to the TPC Coordinator for vendor inspection arrangements.
Review and comment on third-party inspection reports.
Issue Non-Conformance Reports when discrepancies or non-compliances are identified.
Expedite vendors to submit proposed corrective actions, resolution plans and Root Cause Analysis, where required, within three working days of receiving the Non-Conformance Report.
Monitor the closure of quality issues and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Review manufacturers’ record books, final documentation packages and as-built dossiers.
Support procurement quality assurance, vendor surveillance, manufacturing inspection and technical compliance activities throughout the project.
Education and Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
Minimum eight years of experience directly related to the inspection, quality assurance or execution of manufacturing activities.
Strong knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements and their implementation.
Working knowledge of applicable valve manufacturing and inspection codes required by the Purchase Order, including:
API 6D
ASME B16.34
API 594
API 598
API 600
API 602
API 607
API 608
API 609
Other relevant international codes, standards and project specifications
Possession of one of the following recognised welding inspection qualifications:
CSWIP 3.1
AWS Certified Welding Inspector
International Welding Engineer
Relevant Non-Destructive Testing qualification.
Preferred Project Experience
Candidates should ideally have:
Strong experience in offshore oil and gas projects.
Proven exposure to FEED projects and/or full project lifecycle execution.
Relevant experience in procurement quality, vendor quality, inspection, manufacturing surveillance and technical compliance.
Experience supporting major EPC or EPCI offshore developments.
Familiarity with international codes, standards and project specifications relevant to valve manufacturing, inspection and testing.
Middle East offshore project experience would be highly advantageous.
