We are looking for a
Project Engineer Controls
to join our Power & Controls Engineering department in
Tranby
. The offices are centrally located 10 minutes from Drammen and 30 minutes from Oslo.
In this role, you will contribute to the design of control systems within defense projects, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant instrumented power and control solutions.
What will you be doing?
Perform assigned technical activities in accordance with Aker Solutions’ policy for Engineering
Prepare, maintain, and update control system documentation and technical reports
Contribute to development, configuration, and integration of control systems
Participate in design reviews, certification activities, and technical discussions with customers and external stakeholders
Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and other engineering disciplines
Support testing, validation, and commissioning activities for control systems
Support selection and, where relevant, qualification of components to meet system requirements, military standards, laws and legislations
Identify technical risks, interfaces, and configuration changes related to control systems
Contribute to change management and continuous improvement initiatives
We think you should have:
Higher education within engineering, science, or a related discipline
Good understanding of control systems, instrumentation and power distribution
Ability to develop electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and interface documentation using ECAD tools relevant for control system design
Experience with design for EMC compliance, validation, and problem resolution is an advantage
Experience from multidisciplinary projects
Good understanding of requirements management and traceability
Structured and quality-focused working style, comfortable with making technical decisions
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage across disciplines
Good understanding of structured quality management systems
Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
Experience from defense or a serial production environment is an advantage
The role may involve projects where security clearance is required
