Air Technician Duration: Initially 1 year with possibility of extension / becoming permanent Location: Anchorage, AK Rotation: Monday to Friday Position Overview This Air Technician opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with a background in environmental compliance, air quality data management, and regulatory reporting. The Air Technician will play an important role in supporting compliance activities through accurate data collection, review, and reporting, while working with operational personnel and subject matter experts. This Air Technician position offers the chance to contribute to process improvement, audit readiness, and environmental record management in a technically focused setting. The Air Technician will be well suited to someone who can organise complex information, manage priorities effectively, and deliver accurate work to deadline. Key Responsibilities Collect and manage air quality compliance data, ensuring required information is complete, accurate, and properly maintained. Review compliance data and reports for quality, accuracy, and consistency. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual air quality compliance reports within required deadlines. Support updates to procedures and data records in line with permit-related changes. Assist with the development of best management, operational, and maintenance practices linked to air quality compliance. Support facilities in preparation for agency inspections and audits, and assist during inspection activity where required. Coordinate with subject matter experts to address technical questions relating to air quality compliance. Maintain environmental records and contribute to ad-hoc reporting and project work as needed. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or college, or 2 years of professional experience. Exceptional proficiency in data management. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets. Excellent writing, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify deficiencies, optimise processes, and manage multiple priorities with limited oversight. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Air quality background. Familiarity with environmental compliance management and oversight, including operations and maintenance procedures.
