Finite Scheduler
New Opening!! Finite Scheduler (Supply Chain)
NES Fircroft is actively seeking a Supply Chain professional for a Finite Scheduler role with one of our client's plant sites in Chicago, IL. This position will be a full-time contract role running a roughly 12 months in length, our client is seeking individuals with a background in Supply Chain and Production Planning activities.

The Finite Scheduler is an integral part of Plant Operations and the Supply Chain Management group. The Finite Scheduler is responsible for scheduling specific assets/times of suggested planned production orders through the analysis of inventory, capacity availability, human resources, customer requirements, and other sequencing restrictions. They will need to directly interface with many roles and teams across the organization including Supply Chain Planners, Logistics, Operations, Inventory Analysts and Customer Service to achieve a balance between optimizing production and minimizing costs and capital lockup to deliver manufactured material to the plan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUBJECT POSITION
1. Communicate future shortages and backorders to Supply Chain via Proactive; makes changes in the plans to prevent and/or advise of customer failures
2. Analyze the output of Client's planning tools and develop a finite schedule for blending and drum filling
3. Determine start times, routings and sequencing of production orders based upon analyzing asset availability, material compatibility, and loading times.
4. Approve the final Finite Schedule, release production orders to process and align w/ Logistics to ensure the plant meets customer commitments
5. Communicates and escalates production failures in a timely manner to Supply Chain, Customer Service, Logistics and Sales accordingly.
6. Supports team w/ Bulk Goods Issue on orders that are not completed from previous days
7. Supports CSA as needed w/ timely investigation and completion of bulk complaints
8. Supports with data analysis activities as required including the monthly performance scorecard
9. Facilitate daily Production Meeting including process and maintenance.
10. Develops the plant’s daily railcar loading, offloading and movement plan lists based on availability and customer demand. Recommends the tank car pull listed based on work completed. Works to reduce switching costs by effectively spotting cars that can be fully unloaded. Communicates with the railroad on emergencies and problem areas. Works to reduce rail car hold days.
11. Manages railcars in yard and at the Belt and identifies opportunities to reduce demurrage
12. Supports implementation of Supply Chain Initiatives including new products, product removals, and reformulations
13. Responsible for executing tank realignment plans to improve operations efficiency and customer fulfillment
14. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and coordinate implementation with all departments
15. Adhere to and ensure compliance with Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS), including compliance with Data Integrity Assurance Framework
16. Support the quality of our products through adherence to BPIMS/GPIMS, ISO9001, IATF16949 and other in scope quality policies and procedures

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND BUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS REQUIRED
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related
2. Knowledge and experience in Operations Integrity or Supply Chain or related
3. Knowledge and experience in SAP Materials Management and Order to Cash functions desired
4. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
5. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Tools, including data validation and charting
6. Self-starter with results and schedule orientation
7. The ability to lead and influence others
8. Ability to work effectively in a virtual, multi-cultural team environment
